How to use it
- Select the element and open its Conditions.
- Add the condition Customer has purchased from the Kiln group.
- Choose any of or none of.
- Type the product IDs, separated by commas, for example
12, 34. Dynamic data is allowed.
Leave the list empty to test for any purchase at all. any of with an empty list is true for a customer with at least one paid order.
Compared with Product purchased by user
The Bricks condition "Product purchased by user" checks only the product of the page the visitor is on. This condition checks a list of products you choose.
How Kiln counts purchases
- Only paid orders count: the statuses WooCommerce treats as paid.
- Only orders on the customer's own account count. Kiln does not match orders by email address. WooCommerce lets a customer change the account email without proving they own the new address, so an email match would give a guest buyer's purchases to anyone who types that address.
- A guest order placed before the account existed counts after you link it to the account (Users > the customer > "Link previous orders").
- Buying a variation counts as buying its parent product.
How it works with page caches
This condition does not mark the page uncacheable. A logged-out visitor has bought nothing, so a cache that serves logged-out visitors stays correct.
Limits
- A visitor who is logged out has purchased nothing. any of is false for them and none of is true.
- The field takes product IDs. Names and SKUs do not work.
